This was a very difficult week. I was used to eating 2300 calories at maintenance and to cut 500 down to 1800 calories was so noticeable. I was hungry a lot but I made it and my 7-day average was 1812 calories. Obviously when I took a break off exercising Wednesday - Friday, I wasn't in such a deficit because I didn't have the calorie burn from exercise. That's ok though because I can't do this experiment as perfect as I'd wish.
Honestly, I can't see myself doing this cut 2 more weeks. But maybe I will feel better about this tomorrow. However, missing my hikes (which is my mental therapy) has me not so pumped and determined lately. But I resume exercise on Tuesday hopefully!
The smart scale said I lost 1 pound of muscle mass. I'm starting to think this thing is a joke when it comes to muscle mass because that's ridiculous. But it is kind of scary if that's true because I was smaller eating MORE food at 2300 calories. This is quite confusing to figure my body out.
Here's how my body shaped up:
-1/4 inch off thigh
+1/2 inch waist
+1/4 inch low hip
I started retaining water for some reason after I quit exercising and I think it's because my body is so used to sweating loads every day and was being prepared. I'm sure it will get the memo soon and release the retention.
