I completed 8 more weeks of brain injury treatments for a total of 16 weeks and I'm glad to say I have improved around 40%! I decided to take a break and may even put the last 8 weeks off until next summer as I'm mostly functioning now. The doctor said I won't lost my progress if I take a break.
The dog(s) are still next door and still terrorizing us. We keep praying every night as a family and I won't give up hope that this nightmare will soon be over with either them moving or a place opening up for us somewhere that we can afford. I do recover quicker now when the dog scares me - I no longer get a paralyzed feeling, instead I get a feeling that I can take care of it and I'm happy about that. I'm also able to do things on my computer like before and feel like I'm back to where I was in some aspects before the dog attack a year ago.
I have been consistent with my calories for over 4 weeks now and went from 171 to 168 and just 3 more pounds away from getting back to goal at 165. I'm averaging 1600 calories a week doing WW points and I only workout about 5 hours a week now (my maintenance is around 2100). I keep my hikes going weekly and also been good about getting in strength training more. I plan on doing this calorie deficit for a full 6 weeks before taking a maintenance break for 2 weeks.
